Mission Statement
The Georgia Geographic Alliance (GGA) is a volunteer organization of individuals who believe that geographic knowledge is essential to a well-rounded education. Its mission is to enhance geographic literacy among K-12 students throughout Georgia. The Alliance helps to ensure that Georgia citizens are global thinkers, problem solvers, and internationally competitive workers by providing professional development programs for classroom teachers.
This fall we will be holding our Geofest in Macon for the first time. We would love to hear your feedback on this. What kind of materials would be useful to you? Are there any topics you would like to be covered? We are hoping for a good turnout due the central location, and also we will be offering PLU's to participants who write a lesson plan and post in on the website.
